Who’s your favorite SoulCalibur fighter? Namco wants to know that it is Seong Mi-Na

Seong Mi-Na

Bandai Namco, rolling in piles of money thanks to the arcade launch of Tekken 7, is currently “preparing something huge” for its sister fighting franchise, SoulCalibur. Are we going to be getting SoulCalibur 6 finally?

A survey, which can be filled out on the series’ official Facebook page, is asking which characters from the franchise’s past have been your favorite since day one. Who is your favorite hero or villain in “the tale of soul and swords eternally retold?”

The Facebook page makes a serious point that this is “NOT related to SoulCalibur Lost Swords ,” not wanting enthusiasm to plummet thanks to that free-to-play mess. The survey is instead “for the brand in general.”

So how about it? Go ahead and tell Bandai Namco that Seong Mi-Na is your favorite character because you’d be wrong if you picked anybody else. Seriously though, who is your favorite character in the SoulCalibur franchise?

Something tells me that you won’t be able to choose Link.

It’s been a while since I fell off the SoulCalibur train, but I’d really like to get back on. The series has always been the best in town when it comes to single player options, something I value in a fighting franchise, and I can’t think of another besides Street Fighter with which I have a longer history. Maybe SoulCalibur 6 is the answer!

Please, let it be true, and vote Seong Mi-Na!

Mad Max meets Mario Kart is just bloody brilliant

How is this for a clever mash-up?  sundbergkr ‘s Mario Kart: Fury Road parody trailer mashes up the worlds of Mad Max and Mario Kart to epic results in this wonderful parody of the film’s trailer. What’s really special about this mash-up is that it isn’t entirely overdone. The Mario references are brief, subtle, and appear just long enough for you to appreciate them before waiting eagerly for the next one. Without a doubt the giant Chomp is the most laugh out loud moment, but the creators also slip in some perfectly timed and inappropriate voice clips during the violent action. I still haven’t seen Mad Max: Fury Road , due it not coming out in Japan until June 20, but I had purposely avoided the trailers to not get any spoilers. Now, thanks to Mario, June 20 can’t come fast enough! Source : Via : Destructoid from TechnoBuffalo http://ift.tt/1AvRv58

Exec behind “Next Big Thing” campaign has departed Samsung

Samsung Mobile CMO, Todd Pendleton, has reportedly departed the company, according to CNET . Pendleton is credited with creating Samsung’s famous “Next Big Thing” campaign, which took aim at the company’s rivals while highlighting the benefits of its own mobile lineup. The ads were smart, terse, and ultimately helped raise the awareness of Samsung’s brand as a major smartphone maker here in the U.S. It’s unclear why Pendleton left, but it’s being reported that Samsung executives became dissatisfied with the campaign’s recent success, even going so far as auditing the mobile division’s Dallas headquarters. It seems you can only use the Next Big Thing tagline so many times; the commercials have taken a decidedly different turn over the past few months, focusing on design, functionality and features rather than bashing Samsung competitors. The timing, I suppose, seems appropriate given that Samsung has just unveiled two new flagships, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung is clearly ...

Star Wars: Battlefront will not have classes

See full gallery on TechnoBuffalo When it comes time to pick your gear and weaponry in DICE’s upcoming relaunch of  Star Wars: Battlefront , you won’t be sifting through classes or class-specific stuff. That’s because the new  Battlefront has no class. I don’t mean that in a belch during dinner at a fancy restaurant kind of way, either. I mean you won’t be picking stuff like Engineer, Assault or Support before you roll onto the battlefield. In an interview with OXM , as summed up by the magazine’s sister site  Games Radar , Design Director Niklas Fegraeus indicated that classes are out. You’ll be able to pick and choose between unlocked weapons and gear freely and build to your own style. Furthermore, Fegraeus also indicated that  Battlefront will not feature the five-person squad feature that  Battlefield  offers. Instead, players will run as partners, a group of two system that lets players stick together, appear on one another’s HUDs and spawn besi...
