Every few months we like to show you what apps, launchers, and icons we’re using in the Android world. For Jon, who is constantly testing new phones, things are changing all the time—it never feels like he has a real permanent home, which means his setup from last month might look completely different from next month.
To that end, he wanted to show you guys what his setup is like on the Galaxy S6 at this very moment. A lot of the apps he’s shown off before are still there—Snapchat, Threes, Uber, Speedtest and more. But he also shows off a number of apps he relies on to run his business, such as Studio, YouTube and more. And because Jon is such a newshound, he also checks in with The New York Times app from time to time.
His setup isn’t anything flashy; Nova Launcher is there, because even though Samsung toned down the bloat of TouchWiz, the cartoon look is still there. Nova helps keep that in check by turning the UX into more of a stock experience.
If you want to see what Jon has running on his Android device, check out the video above. Get a good look now, because what you see today will likely look much different in a few months.
