New Netflix titles for June include Sense8, Nightcrawler, and more

Last-Action-Hero

Netflix has released the list of movies and TV shows hitting the service next month, and while a lot of the content is skippable, there are a few standouts worth checking out. And, no, I’m not talking about Pretty Little Liars. (Ok, yes I am.)

The big news for June is the arrival of several original shows, including Sense8, which is being directed by the Wachowskis. Orange is the New Black will be returning for a third season, while Dragons: Race to the Edge, is also hitting the service at the end of the month. So, basically, there’s something for everyone.

Following the return of House of Cards earlier this year, along with the debut of Daredevil, I’d say Netflix has had some pretty solid original shows this year already. And there have been more shows, too, such as Bloodline, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Grace and Frankie, and more. If there was any question Netflix was evolving into a premier destination for original and existing content, you have your answer.

There are some big movies to take note of as well, including Nightcrawler and A Most Wanted Man. I’m not so bummed about the film’s that are being taken down, though my guilty pleasure is Last Action Hero, which is very terrible, but also very fun.

Check out the full list of movies that are being added (and taken down) to Netflix below.

Mad Max meets Mario Kart is just bloody brilliant

How is this for a clever mash-up?  sundbergkr ‘s Mario Kart: Fury Road parody trailer mashes up the worlds of Mad Max and Mario Kart to epic results in this wonderful parody of the film’s trailer. What’s really special about this mash-up is that it isn’t entirely overdone. The Mario references are brief, subtle, and appear just long enough for you to appreciate them before waiting eagerly for the next one. Without a doubt the giant Chomp is the most laugh out loud moment, but the creators also slip in some perfectly timed and inappropriate voice clips during the violent action. I still haven’t seen Mad Max: Fury Road , due it not coming out in Japan until June 20, but I had purposely avoided the trailers to not get any spoilers. Now, thanks to Mario, June 20 can’t come fast enough! Source : Via : Destructoid from TechnoBuffalo http://ift.tt/1AvRv58

Exec behind “Next Big Thing” campaign has departed Samsung

Samsung Mobile CMO, Todd Pendleton, has reportedly departed the company, according to CNET . Pendleton is credited with creating Samsung’s famous “Next Big Thing” campaign, which took aim at the company’s rivals while highlighting the benefits of its own mobile lineup. The ads were smart, terse, and ultimately helped raise the awareness of Samsung’s brand as a major smartphone maker here in the U.S. It’s unclear why Pendleton left, but it’s being reported that Samsung executives became dissatisfied with the campaign’s recent success, even going so far as auditing the mobile division’s Dallas headquarters. It seems you can only use the Next Big Thing tagline so many times; the commercials have taken a decidedly different turn over the past few months, focusing on design, functionality and features rather than bashing Samsung competitors. The timing, I suppose, seems appropriate given that Samsung has just unveiled two new flagships, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung is clearly ...

Star Wars: Battlefront will not have classes

See full gallery on TechnoBuffalo When it comes time to pick your gear and weaponry in DICE’s upcoming relaunch of  Star Wars: Battlefront , you won’t be sifting through classes or class-specific stuff. That’s because the new  Battlefront has no class. I don’t mean that in a belch during dinner at a fancy restaurant kind of way, either. I mean you won’t be picking stuff like Engineer, Assault or Support before you roll onto the battlefield. In an interview with OXM , as summed up by the magazine’s sister site  Games Radar , Design Director Niklas Fegraeus indicated that classes are out. You’ll be able to pick and choose between unlocked weapons and gear freely and build to your own style. Furthermore, Fegraeus also indicated that  Battlefront will not feature the five-person squad feature that  Battlefield  offers. Instead, players will run as partners, a group of two system that lets players stick together, appear on one another’s HUDs and spawn besi...
