Brits can welcome in the weekend by pre-ordering Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge after the South Korean company today made both handsets available to pre-order in the U.K., with prices starting at £599 (approx. $884) off-contract.
Both devices can be purchased from Samsung’s own online store, as well as a number of third-party retailers and carriers, including Carphone Warehouse, EE, O2, and Vodafone. The official release date is April 10, but you may have to wait a little longer depending on the model you want.
For instance, if you want the Galaxy S6, only the black and white models will be available on April 10, while the gold won’t be available until April 15. The blue model isn’t available for pre-order at all yet, but Samsung says it’s coming “soon.”
You’ll also have to settle for 32GB of storage, with the 64GB and 128GB options unavailable from Samsung for now. However, you will find these storage options being offered by carriers.
If you want the S6 Edge, you’ll get the black, white, and gold models on April 24, but the green option — like the blue Galaxy S6 — cannot be pre-ordered at all just yet. As anticipated, the S6 Edge is also available in 64GB and 128GB variants only.
While prices start at £599.99 to get the 32GB Galaxy S6 off-contract, you’ll need to pay £760 (approx. $1,122) for the 64GB S6 Edge. As always, on-contract pricing varies depending on which carrier you choose, and how much you wish to pay upfront towards the cost of your chosen handset.
