We’re learning about all the potential gameplay mechanics and design decisions from DICE and EA’s upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront in bits and pieces. Today, we have some discussion regarding vehicles that take flight.
DICE Community Manager Mathew Everett and one of the game’s Producers took to the Battlefront subreddit to try and answer some of the community’s bigger questions.
When asked about what vehicles beyond X-Wings, TIE Fighters and Speederbikes players will be able to use in the game, Everett indicated that both the Millennium Falcon and Snowspeeders are playable.
Later, one user asked about the ease of use for these in-flight modes of transportation, citing the difficulty a large chunk of the gaming community has with flying stuff in Battlefield. Everett responded with this:
A lot easier to fly. Very Padawan friendly. We will go into more details on what makes them Padawan friendly and Jedi master-able (is that even a word?).
Be honest. How many times have you hopped in a chopper being flown by a friendly only to wind up upside down in a ravine dead within seconds after takeoff? It happens constantly to me in Battlefield.
Star Wars: Battlefront will hit the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 17, 2015. Stay tuned for more.
