Google’s next Nexus phone probably won’t arrive until late 2015, but a new report may reveal what to expect from the stock Android handset. According to one tech industry analyst, the alleged Huawei-made device could pack some serious power.
Over on Weibo, Pan Jiutang has been speculating about the upcoming Nexus handset. He suggests that the new phone could come equipped a 5.7-inch 2K display and a Snapdragon 810 processor. Those specs are slightly out of character with Huawei, which typically prefers its own Kirin processors and still includes 1080p resolution displays. Then again, it’s likely Google is calling the shots for its next Nexus.
There’s still no guarantee Google has tapped Huawei for the Nexus series. Neither company has commented on the rumors, and we probably won’t know with any certainty until the device is actually unveiled later this year. Still, if the new smartphone looks anything like Huawei’s latest designs we won’t be complaining.
Check back soon for the latest Nexus news, and take a look at the Chinese phone-maker’s newest handset in the gallery below.
