We’ve seen a lot of emphasis on manual controls in mobile photography as of late, and a new update to the Motorola Camera app puts focus squarely on these features.
Rolling out to Google Play right now, the new update introduces a manual feature that allow users to control the exposure. When done right, manually controlling the exposure can give pictures a more dramatic effect, depending on how drastic of an adjustment you make.
Unfortunately, this is the only setting the new update allows users to control.
It’s not nearly as robust as what you’d find in the LG G4, or even the Galaxy S6. But it’s nice to see Motorola understand that people like to have control over camera settings. To take advantage of the feature, simply adjust the slider to over- or under-expose your image.
Give it a shot and get creative.
