One of the G4’s best features is its camera, so it’s no surprise to see LG emphasizing this point ahead of the device’s official release. To help further expound on the joys and advancements of the G4’s technology, LG on Tuesday released a video showcasing what the camera can do—and it enlisted pro photographer Colby Brown to help.
In the nearly four-minute video, Brown goes through the different features of the G4’s camera, and explains what makes it so great. Equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor and f/1.8 lens, the G4 is not only notable for its quality, but how much control it gives users. It sports an excellent Manual Mode, giving users the ability to tweak ISO, shutter speed, white balance, focus, and more—nothing new in the mobile world, but it’s the most powerful we’ve seen. It also shoots in RAW, so you can tweak in post editing if you want.
The G4 also sports a color spectrum sensor, improved laser auto focus, and better optical image stabilization, which means videos should be silky smooth. We’re currently working on our G4 review, so we’ll expand a lot more on what we think of the G4’s camera there. For now, you can check out a ton of samples we took with the device, and if that’s not enough, you can hear some of Brown’s thoughts on the device’s camera capabilities.
