Developer Young Horses, with the aid of Sickhead games, has successfully brought Octodad: Dadliest Catch onto the PS Vita. The game is now set to launch, and it has a May 26, 2015 release date.
Yep, that’s next Tuesday for all you would-be octopi in disguise.
The PS Vita version will move for $14.99. It’s a Cross-Buy title, so if you already own it on your PlayStation 4, you will automagically have the ability to download it onto your PS Vita once the Store updates next Tuesday.
(The images in the gallery above come from the PC version of the game.)
There is no Cross-Save support. Young Horses’ Phil Tibitoski offers a consolation for this on the PlayStation Blog: the PS Vita version offers a completely new set of trophies.
Finally, Sickhead and Young Horses managed to create a local co-op way to play the game. Two players, one PS Vita. Enjoy that awkward (or loving) moment.
It’s too bad the game isn’t here already. I have a trip to the beach this weekend, and this would be an awesome thing to play on the ride down.
