It’s been a while. Nice to see you again. In the chaos of CES, and a handful of big smartphone launches, sometimes things fall by the wayside. That and sometimes you run out of phones to shoot pictures of. But in the spirit of an old favorite here at TechnoBuffalo, we thought we’d bring Guess the Phone back for another spin. Did you guess the phone already? I bet you did. You were always so clever.
This phone is recognizable for a lot of reasons, and even though it’s considered “old,” it’s still one of the top devices on the market. I actually prefer it, in some ways, to its younger, more advanced brother. It actually feels pretty good to get my hands on this handset again; the design, in my opinion, is superior, and it still elicits a “wow” factor. Just like One Direction prompts a “wow” factor. Just kidding. Or am I?
I don’t need to tell you that this was one of the first phones to sport a QHD screen, or that it introduced a fancy focusing mechanism. Or that it sports a pretty large screen, while maintaining a pretty svelte body. I don’t need to tell you that stuff, because you are smart, and smart people know these things.
I took a few pictures that “give it away,” but you can only obscure so much. Besides, there’s no need to hide it: let’s just admire the phone for what it is, and what it continues to be: one of the best handsets to ever hit the market. So, then, bravo mystery phone. You done good.
The most recent Guess the Phone was an old Minolta SRT-101
