It’s already pretty easy to order dinner on your smartphone with just a few quick taps thanks to apps like Seamless, GrubHub and Eat24. Now, Google is making it even easier with a quick update to Search.
Just boot up the Google app on your phone and type in the name of a restaurant. Then scroll down and you’ll see a new option to “Place an order.” Tap it, and Google will offer a list of third-party services, including Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu and MyPizza.com. Of course, you could always just launch your food delivery app directly, but if you’re already in Google this could save a few extra seconds.
The update is heading to Android, though it’s unclear if iPhone owners will get the same option any time soon. It’s also limited to mobile devices. Google says it plans to add more delivery services in the future, though with six to start there should already be plenty of options.
