The wait for CyanogenMod 12S on the OnePlus One is finally (almost) over! After failing to meet its promised late March release, the new software passed its certification on Friday. It should be arriving on smartphones around the world in the next few days, according to OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.
.@jorgepenteado CM12s just passed certification today. Thanks for the patience, expect rollout in the next few days.

CyanogenMod 12S will bring Lollipop to the OnePlus One, along with an updated version of the popular ROM. Beyond that we’re not really sure what to expect from the update, though hopefully it will be worth the wait.
In the meantime, OnePlus is already offering its own OxygenOS update, which also features Android 5.0 Lollipop along with a few extra features. It offers impressive battery life, quick customization options and some new gestures controls.
We’ll compare the two new ROMs head-to-head once CM 12S arrives, which should be sometime next week. We’re excited to see what Cyanogen looks like running on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop, though OxygenOS is a solid choice as well.
