Microsoft on Thursday announced a new Windows 10 Insider Preview Build for folks who have been testing the latest version of its mobile software, which will eventually launch under the name “Windows 10 Mobile.”
The latest update, build 10080, includes a Windows Store Beta that has been redesigned to look more akin to the Windows Store on PCs. It’s still very much a beta, and features like carrier billing don’t yet work, but you can still download and buy apps, TV shows, music and movies.
The latest Universal Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, also come preinstalled on the new release, as does a redesigned Xbox application. You can use the Xbox app to check your activity feed, view your friends list, watch DVR game clips and more.
Other features include a new camera app, which launched in beta recently as a stand-alone application, a video preview application for viewing videos you’ve recorded, as well as those you’ve purchased from Xbox Video, and a Music preview application.
There are still plenty of bugs, Microsoft warns, including a bug that might prevent you from receiving MMS texts, so this shouldn’t be installed on your primary device. Hit the source to learn more.
