HTC may finally be prepping a new tablet, though it won’t be anything like the Nexus 9 it put together last year for Google. Instead, the company appears to be testing another 7-inch tablet called the HTC H7.
The device leaked on Zauba, an Indian shipping database, on its way from China. The H7 apparently packs a 7-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a quad-core processor and two SIM card slots. It’s valued at 9,565 Indian rupees, which comes to roughly $150. The news also lines up with recent claims from Twitter tipster @upleaks, who outed the HTC tablet earlier this month.
HTC H7:seems a low-end tablet, release in Q2 2015

Nothing about the HTC H7 sounds particularly impressive, but at $150 it could still be a pretty great deal. Even so, we’re a little concerned how well the device will function with just 1GB of RAM. Maybe this isn’t the final configuration, though the fact that it’s being shipped across international borders suggests production could be pretty far along. In that case, we may not have to wait much longer for an official look at the alleged HTC H7, and we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any more info.
