The G4’s camera was easily the device’s standout feature in our review, and that’s saying a lot considering how sound the phone was as a whole. If you followed the company’s announcement late last month, then you know how proud LG was of the technology found inside the device. It’s a sweeping upgrade over last year’s already excellent LG G3, and makes a strong case for the best mobile camera ever.
But what makes it so good, and what about the camera’s Manual Mode?
We spent a lot of time talking about the G4’s camera here, and provided countless samples, so check that out if you haven’t already. Basically, it comes down to improved OIS, a new “color spectrum sensor,” and better auto-focus. Those are but a few ingredients, however. The device also sports a 16-megapixel 1/2.6-inch sensor and an f/1.8 lens, which allows more light to come into the sensor, essentially promising better low-light performance. You can also shoot RAW if you like to edit in post.
Check the video out above to see an overview of what makes the LG G4 camera so good, along with a quick lesson in some photography terms, such as ISO, shutter speed and more. And if you want to read about our thoughts on the G4’s camera, you can check out our review here.
