Huawei on Wednesday sent out invites for an event being held on Tuesday, June 2, in New York City. The company says folks will get a look at “what’s new from Huawei,” along with some thoughts on the company’s U.S. strategy. Hm, sounds like the Chinese behemoth wants to make a bigger push for the Western audience.
The company has been very busy overseas, announcing an awesome new smartwatch and a handful of phones. It’s unclear what Huawei has planned for the U.S., though, judging by the image included with the invite, it looks like a phone is on the horizon. You can’t really discern much peeking through some of the windows in the photo above, but there’s a brushed aluminum theme going on here, so we hope we’re going to see something premium.
