Google is rolling out a pretty big update for its fitness tracking app designed to offer a better overall experience and take advantage of Android Wear.
If you’re using an Android Wear device, you’ll be able to try out in a new Google Fit watch face. It looks like a pretty standard manual clock, but Google has included a small widget that shows how close you are to reaching your daily exercise goals. The same widget is also available on Android, where it can sit on your homescreen for easy access.
The app has also been updated with new features and an improved interface. Google Fit can now estimate your distance traveled and calories burned. It will also group activity by day, week and month, making it easy to scroll through your entire history.
Overall it seems like a pretty solid update that should keep fitness-focused Android fans happy. If you’re interested in checking it out for yourself, just grab the new and improved Google Fit app from the Play Store via the source link below.
