It’s been a few weeks since Apple released the new MacBook, but it’s still only available to order online in most areas. Thankfully, it looks like the 12-inch laptop will finally arrive at Apple Stores around the world starting later this month.
9to5Mac reports that the in-store rollout will kick off during the week of May 25, citing an internal memo sent to Apple’s retail staff. The newest MacBook is already available at some locations in limited quantities, including stores in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, China, Hong Kong, Spain and Sweden.
It’s unclear exactly what’s slowing doing production on the new MacBook, though it may be the same issue that stalled the Apple Watch launch. The Cupertino company apparently had some issues with its tiny vibrating Taptic Engines, which are included in both the smartwatch and the redesigned laptop’s Force Touch trackpad.
We’ll let you know as soon as the launch is official.
